It was in the stockroom of a retail shoe store that Nalini Arora felt the
stirrings of what she later would pinpoint as the beginning of her shoe obsession.
As she walked down the aisle of 15 foot high shoe racks, looking for a size
6 sling back in mustard yellow, Nalini knew her life would be dedicated to
creating shoes.
With a background in business and design, Nalini has worked as a designer
with top U.S. brands and then moved on to an international freelance career
while living in Barcelona, Spain.
It was in this country, known for siestas, tapas and tinto that Nalini discovered
her voice as a designer; edgy, sexy, undeniably stylish but never straying
too far from the playfulness that makes shoes fun and full of whimsy.
She is influenced by her love of architecture, furniture, flea markets, vintage
design, pop culture, art, and her travels all over the globe and she pulls
from these different mediums to create dynamic designs that have touches
of inspiration in every curve.
Now living in Los Angeles, Nalini continues to expand her portfolio working
on projects from high end to fast fashion footwear, children’s shoes,
and accessories.
