| Summer 2019 Tie dye & Bows
While working on the Cupcakes and Cashmere summer 2019 line, I envisioned tie dye and stripes, and a favorite detail of Emily- bows! On a visit to Mood Fabrics, I encountered this gorgeous material that resembled a tie dye print but with an elevated vibe. Remembering the stripe print I found in Guangzhou, I knew it was time to bring it out, and do some fun print mixing.
Ideas sometimes start off with a material, or a color palette. I like to remain open as to where I get my inspiration. Being a collector of interesting “things”, when I see something I like, I may hold onto it for a while until I seize the moment to bring it out.
While on a development trip to China I stumbled onto a stripe material I found at Guangzhou market. I didn’t have a need at the moment but held onto it just in case.

The tie dye print group was carried at Shopbop, Nordstrom, Zappos, Cupcakes and Cashmere online store as well as small boutiques in the United States.
