LA Shoegirl, as she’s known by family and close friends, prides herself as one never bound by the traditional conventions of design.
Prejudiced by her love and passion for vintage design, art, architecture, furniture, flea markets, and all things pop culture, Nalini constantly travels the globe creating dynamic designs that are inspired by her passions in every line and curve.
With degrees in Design and Bachelors of Science in Business from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising & Cal State, Northridge, Nalini began her career, working as in house designers for global brands Skechers, Ocean Pacific and Rip Curl.
A 2005 move to Barcelona, Spain, to pursue a career as an International Freelance Designer, was the needed catalyst for Nalini to discover her voice as an unconventional, stylish and edgy designer, never straying far from the playfulness that makes shoes fun and full of whimsy.
Today, with over ten years of experience in the women and children’s footwear industry, Nalini continues to expand her experiences specializing in fashion footwear, kids shoes and accessory design. She currently resides in Los Angeles.
