Meet Nalini
Nalini Arora is a Los Angeles-based footwear and accessory designer and illustrator with over 18 years in the industry. She’s passionate about guiding brands from initial concepts to final production with her knowledge of design, business and sustainability.
Nalini has an impeccable reputation working with brands all over the world, and she lived in Barcelona for years, an experience that shaped her spirited, versatile style which cleverly infuses whimsy and minimalism. Nalini worked extensively across a wide spectrum of the fashion industry, from commercial brands to luxury markets; she is most acclaimed for her designs of women’s and children’s shoes.
Nalini has an A.A. in Merchandise Marketing and Footwear Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising and a B.S. in Business Marketing from California State University of Northridge.
Her designs invoke a sense of play, asking, “How can we be different?”, and she’s inspired by travel, architecture, and art.
Nalini collaborates with global artists and brands, including veteran luxury design director, George Mang for the Monique Lhullier footwear collection. Most recently, she teamed up with Emily Schuman of Cupcakes and Cashmere to design the brand’s footwear collection.
Nalini’s designs have also been featured in Vogue, Teen Vogue, Vogue Bambini, Cosmopolitan, Harper’s Bazaar, and Glamour Magazine.
