For Spring 2019, caged effect footwear seemed an appropriate fit for the Bebe girl. After an array of sketches, and exploring different silhouettes for this trend, we continued to keep the direction of the footwear sexy and modern. The focus was a shoe she can wear day to night by mixing in casual details like a faux stacked heel.

Clients sometimes request best sellers to be updated. Gold hardware, and novelty details were the requirements for this silhouette.
For the update, I wanted to mix bohemian details such as braiding with a modern vibe by adding tubular straps and adding gold hardware by way of TPU to consider costing. The initial idea was to have a multitude of straps that gives a slouchy sandalized bootie feeling.
