What's inspiring me now?

It’s been a crazy few months with projects. It’s always a struggle as an entrepreneur to manage personal projects with work. When you work for yourself, the projects are either coming in at the same time, or there is a small break in between projects. I’m in the current no break for the year. Even though it’s a little tough this year, I am loving the projects I am working on, and seeing brands build there shoe collections from zero is exciting. I look forward to sharing the work. Due to COVID-19 the projects are taking a little longer and so I don’t anticipate showing any new work until late next year and 2022.

Today I had a chance to put images together that I’ve been collecting over the last few weeks.

I saw a lot of green this summer. Many influencers were sporting green and orange during Copenhagen Fashion Week. You can see here and here. A lot of what I’ve seen this summer is very bright green. I’m very inspired by seeing lighter shades, mixed in with a little mint, and brown/tan’s for a fresh fall vibe.

Love all of the lines and textures in this board. I’m always in search of different shapes and textures to mix into the design projects I’m working on. I’ve been working on a lot of outsole designs, and so lines and shapes are something I’m searching for often.

Neutrals have been my go to as of late. I love the ease of a neutral palette. Focus on the design, textures, and materials rather than color. Strong design is what has been resonating with me. I always feel like myself more when the design is cool rather than wearing a simple, basic design in color. What are your thoughts around that? Or do you want it all? Bright colors, and creative design. I think both is great but I definitely am pragmatic about my wardrobe and would be more inclined to buy a shoe in basics and neutrals but with strong design. Tell me how you feel in the comments below.
